Financial Support through Teaching Assistantships
All Full-time foreign nationals admitted to the PhD program are awarded a Teaching Assistantship which provides INR 31000 per month for first two years and INR 35000 per month for next two years of the program.
Foreign nationals pursuing an MTech, MDes or MS(R) program are eligible to be considered for a limited number of merit-based Teaching Assistantships. Students who have successfully cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and have been admitted to an MTech/MDes/MS(R) program are entitled to a Teaching Assistantship. These Assistantships provide INR 12,400 per month.
All Teaching Assistantships at IIT Delhi require students to spend 8 hours/week in supporting teaching at the Institute and their continuation depends on satisfactory academic performance/research progress.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)
Foreign nationals can apply to the Indian High Commissions/Embassies, in their respective countries. The commission/embassy forwards these applications to the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi, which in turn, recommends the applicants to IITD. For more details click here.

Fees for Tuition and Other Services (in INR)
Part-time studies: Students in employment can pursue MTech, MBA and PhD Programs in a part-time-mode. To be eligible the student should have sufficient work-experience (at least 1 yr for MTech/MBA and 2 yrs for PhD), and necessary facilities should be available at his/her place of employment – which should be within the national capital territory of Delhi – to carry out research/study.
Part-time students pay a per-semester tuition of Rs 17,500 for the PhD program, Rs 75,000 for MTech/MS(R) programs and Rs 2,25,000 for the MBA program.
Boarding and Lodging (in INR)
Full-time foreign nationals are also provided boarding and lodging in the hostels on campus for the normal duration of their academic program. IITD has 10 hostels for men and 3 hostels for women. Each hostel has a mess which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and students residing in a hostel are required to join the mess of that hostel.
