Financial Support through Teaching Assistantships

All Full-time foreign nationals admitted to the PhD program are awarded a Teaching Assistantship which provides INR 31000 per month for first two years and INR 35000 per month for next two years of the program.

Foreign nationals pursuing an MTech, MDes or MS(R) program are eligible to be considered for a limited number of merit-based Teaching Assistantships. Students who have successfully cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and have been admitted to an MTech/MDes/MS(R) program are entitled to a Teaching Assistantship. These Assistantships provide INR 12,400 per month.

All Teaching Assistantships at IIT Delhi require students to spend 8 hours/week in supporting teaching at the Institute and their continuation depends on satisfactory academic performance/research progress.
