A Delegation from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore visited IIT Delhi

A three-member delegation led by Prof. Tim White, Vice President, International Engagement visited IIT Delhi on March 28, 2022. Prof.  B.V.R Chowdari,  Senior Executive Director, India Directorate (International Engagement) and Ms.  Preeti Dawra,  Director of Global Marketing, Office of International Engagement were also part of the delegation.

Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi,  greeted the delegation and stressed how IIT Delhi might strengthen its relationship with NTU. He discussed IIT Delhi’s new initiatives and Doctoral programmes to increase the participation of international students.

Prof. Tim White emphasized how NTU and IITD can think of setting up a seed fund to increase the engagement of researchers from both institutions. He also focused on summer or semester-long internships for IITD UG and PG students at NTU. In addition, Prof. White stressed that NTU is keen that all students have international exposure before they graduate and, therefore, keen to send students to IITD. The meeting was followed by the delegation’s lab visits to the Nanoscale research facility (NRF) and ASSISTECH.
