The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) hosted a group of students from Sorbonne University, France, for the Spring School 2025 programme, held from March 22 to April 2, 2025. The programme welcomed 18 students for an intensive academic and cultural immersion.
Throughout their stay, students attended daily classes and engaged in rigorous academic sessions across key interdisciplinary areas:
Humanities, Social, and Cognitive Sciences under Prof. Divya Dwivedi, HuSS
Structural Biology under Prof. Manidipa Banerjee and Prof. Ashok Patel, KSBS
Molecular and Computational Neurosciences under Prof. Tapan Nayak, KSBS
Students developed academic competencies, deepened their subject knowledge, and enhanced critical thinking skills through these modules. Working closely with IIT Delhi’s faculty, they explored research topics and broadened their understanding of emerging global challenges.
The students were introduced to India’s rich heritage and vibrant culture. They visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lodhi Garden, and also explored bustling marketplaces such as Chandni Chowk, Spice Market, INA Market, Khan Maket etc.
The Spring School marks another step towards strengthening the strong and growing partnership between IIT Delhi and Sorbonne University.”
