Background: Talk on relevant issues related to climate change and the clean energy transition, including the international climate negotiations, the EU’s and India’s climate objectives, energy efficiency, renewable energy, green hydrogen, climate financing, technology cooperation etc.
Current EU-India climate and energy relations are guided by the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership, that was agreed at the EU-India Summit on 30 March 2016 with the aim of reinforcing cooperation on clean energy and implementation of the Paris Agreement. The collaboration is focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, including solar and (offshore) wind, smart grid, storage, green hydrogen, sustainable financing and climate action (both mitigation and adaptation).
