General FAQs
Every student has to provide the list of universities they are interested in , in a ranked order. Allocation will be done on the basis of the merit list provided by the U.G. Section . Only one list will be announced & no request for reallocation will be entertained under any circumstances. Students should made their choices very carefully.
No, If a student is allocated a university, they will have to proceed an exchange and will not be permitted to register at IITD in that semester.

We have no way of predicting if the university which you are allotted would be open for exchange in the semester starts Jan 2021-22. In case the university is not accepting students due to CoViD then the exchange would be cancelled and the student can register at IITD for that semester.
IIT Delhi doesn't offer scholarships to students. However, there are scholarships offered by some universities and governments of exchange countries each year. Students are advised to look for them on the university websites and other online platforms on their own. Each scholarship has different selection criteria.
Students should go through the Courses of Study to check whether overlapping departments and required courses are offered or not. The passing of credits for a course studied in the exchange semester depends on whether its course content aligns with a course offered at IIT Delhi. Generally, passing credits for Departmental Elective, Open Category and HUL courses are easier than for Departmental Core courses.
Elected representatives to any club or board are not allowed to hold a POR if going for a semester exchange. However, if selected for a POR through a non-election procedure, students should contact their club heads to discuss the possibility of holding that POR for one semester.
