Background: The talk will focus on emerging global trends, such as geographical and economic fragmentation. The UAE has been a beacon of economic integration by being ‘ahead of the curve’ with early adoption of initiatives spanning across digitalization, automation, artificial intelligence, and circular economy. The imperative role of Innovation and Entrepreneurship also cannot be undermined as the economies seek to recalibrate their economic growth trajectories. The UAE has also undertaken path breaking initiatives such as DIFC Innovation Hub and Abu Dhabi’s Hub71, towards this end. Furthermore, the historic UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in 2022, is a testimony of UAE’s continued commitment towards international partnerships and this pact is set to elevate the bilateral ties to an unprecedented level.
