The month of April 2022 witnessed the most eventful ten days for students in the history of the institute. For the first time ever, IIT Delhi conducted a festive extravaganza where Tryst (Annual Technical Fest), Sportech (Annual Sports Fest) and Rendezvous (Annual cultural Fest) were conducted one after the other in the offline mode, after two years.

The show must go on!

Rendezvous (24-26 April, 2022) – As the world wakes up from its stock-still slumber, the IIT Delhi community relived the thrill of Rendezvous. Rendezvous’22 was not just an emotion, but a platform for cultural explosion and global interaction. Being ‘An Elysian Affair’, it was like a universe within the world where enthusiasts tested their mettle in the various events and competitions to let themselves loose in the pronites. 

Indeed, the events were successful in setting the feet of the attendees high in the clouds, the pronites provided the most elysian experience to everyone, and the competitions were idle in showcasing that there is nothing more pure than people trying to prove themselves!

Sportech (16-19 April, 2022) – Being one of the largest college sports festivals awaited by sporting communities across India. The much-anticipated fest returned after two long years with the zeal to celebrate togetherness and unite people. The last two years have been challenging, but the entire community fought these tough times and never gave up. Sportech 2022 celebrated its theme and spirit ‘refuse to lose’ to take that spirit forward. 

Along with the sporting events, Sportech organised a wide variety of informal events, and this year as once again, people came together and united with our social theme – Khelon ka Mela. Sportech also took immense pride in introducing its flagship event – ‘Mela’, an action-packed extravaganza of games, food, fun, and fervour.

Tryst (15-17 April, 2022) – The fest is an unparalleled opportunity for budding technologists to showcase their technical prowess and acts as the perfect launchpad for brilliant ideas. Tryst 2022 promised to be a fun-enthused extravaganza with a plethora of events, competitions, workshops and lectures designed to rekindle the passion for technology and business among the brightest minds of the nation.

The theme for Tryst’22 being ‘A Voyage to Zenith’ included nerve-wracking competitions, captivating events and fascinating lectures in this grand technological extravaganza. For the first time ever, Tryst came to a close with a grand closing ceremony that included hysterical performances by artists, a spectacular laser show and a mesmerising performance by the Skeleton Dance Crew.
