IIT Delhi is fully residential and more than 12,000 students, 620 faculty members and administrative staff reside on its 320-acre campus which is a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty. The campus also offers amenities like a Hospital, Shopping, Banking, Post Office, Stadium, Playing Fields, restaurants etc. Situated in Hauz Khas in South Delhi, the campus is well connected to the major city centres by open and wide roads and is served by two lines of The Delhi Metro which provides safe, convenient and quick transportation across Delhi.

We were pleased to host a delegation from Uzbekistan at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in mid-February for a discussion on strengthening cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy.

🇮🇳🤝🇺🇸 Exploring New Avenues of Collaboration
Representatives from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign engaged in a productive discussion to explore opportunities for strengthening academic and research collaboration.
Discussions included institutional overview and focused on identifying areas and thematic domains for collaboration in the field of 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. Opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching and academic tracks were discussed.
The institutions also explored possible funding avenues, such as SPARK (government-supported project funding) and other partnership mechanisms.
🇫🇷🤝🇮🇳 Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) for discussions 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The meeting was led by Prof. Thierry Coulhon, President of 𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, and Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of 𝗜𝗜𝗧 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶. 🌏✨ Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) led by Prof. Jaesung Jeong.
The visit featured insightful academic discussions with Prof. Ritu Kulshreshtha and Prof. Ravikrishnan Elangovan from the Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, IIT Delhi, on potential areas of collaboration.
This was followed by a focused discussion with the International Relations team on the KAIST Internship Program, highlighting opportunities to strengthen student mobility and experiential learning. The delegation also visited the Research & Innovation (R&I) Park, gaining insights into IIT Delhi’s innovation ecosystem and industry-linked research initiatives.
Looking forward to building on these conversations and fostering meaningful India–Korea academic collaborations. 🤝🌍

The Winter School commenced on a vibrant note with an insightful overview of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi’s research landscape by Prof. Somnath Baidya Roy, Dean (Planning), followed by a presentation on Coventry University by Prof. Richard Dashwood, Vice-Provost (Research and Enterprise).
Faculty members and research scholars from both institutions introduced their areas of work, setting the stage for deeper academic engagement. The discussions then progressed to focused thematic sessions on:

The day concluded with a visit to the Research & Innovation Park at IIT Delhi, where participants interacted with incubated start-ups working in the energy and storage domains—an inspiring showcase of research translation and entrepreneurship.
